is there a way to determine whether the rear shoes on my 97 are 9.5" or 10" without taking every thing apart first? 4.0 5-speed with chry.rear end. thanks,& Merry Christmas to all

also a gunsmith showed me that a real copper penny, not the newer copper coated ones can be used to remove rusted places & not damage the blue that remains.

this may be it. check engine light came on a few months back, had autozone check it & said it was o2 sensor, they cleared the code & has not come back on since.i had forgot about it.. il change it this weekend and post back next week if it is still happening.

at least i'm not alone,.... anyone?

hey,all.. got a 97. 4.0 5-speed. the prob is random, but more so before it hits operating temp of 190-210.it started about 2 weeks ago. when i take off it will pull good whether at part or full throttle til about 1800-2400 rpms then bad hesitation almost a complete stall untill i back peddle...

heat has been in the high 90's here & of course the ac died 2 days ago. the ase certified shop priced the repair at 700$. i priced the evaporator on line at 87.00$. is there really that much labor involved? if anyone has changed this out in the dash please enlighten me.. 97' four door sport/4.0...

leaned back to unlock the rear pass.door for my son today on my 97 sport w/manual locks and windows. the the lock button would not fully unlock, rolled down the window while standing bside the door & tried several times to get it to unlock with no success, anyone had this? any ideas on how to...

passenger side turn signals flash quicker than driver side, like a bulb is out on that side, but ive checked twice and all bulbs are working, is there two flashers on these jeeps,? is there another reason that can cause this? its a 97,4.0-5 sp, sport package. no trailer harness on it...

i've found that most on here prefer the redline mt 80 or 90 oil for their ax15's my question's are. does the transfer case use the same oil? and how many quarts to fill both,& the jeep is in ky. is there a specific preferance to which weight i use. thanks

i have a 97 4.0 5 speed with the factory 3:08 gears, & 31x10.5 interco trxus tires, does any one know what is involved in re-calibrating the speedo. im currently about 14 mph off [driving alongside the wifes car] it didnt bother me as where i live the roads pretty much limit my speed. but here...

i just bought the aux. b.u. kit from i believe 4wdhardware {not real sure} then found there are two holes in th bottom of the bumper that were not being used on mine ....measured/marked/cut ,drilling holes in the corners first then a jigsaw for the straights.then wired it per inst.

heres mine in stock bumper..& they are not round either...may not help at all.

keep us posted,, i started having the same thing happen about 2 weeks ago, so far it has not killed the battery, sunday evening the guage fell down to zero coming out of the woods,drove about 1 mile out of the woods then about 4 miles of hiway with lights & heater, when i got home & shut it off...
