Gotcha. I'm replacing my trac bar bushings once the new bracket goes in. The track bar bushing will come as 1/2", and so is the bracket, so I guess I'll just keep it at 1/2" instead of drilling everything out to 5/8".
Which OTK kit are you running? I've got the IRO kit and have some clearance concerns. I'd also like to hear your opinion on something...
I'm swapping my track bar bracket because my stock bracket is wallowed out. A couple years ago, I drilled the 1/2" hole to a 5/8" and got bigger...
I just received the Artec track bar bracket and haven't installed it yet. I don't have the Artec truss so my install will be a little different than yours.
And you're right, there is practically NOTHING on Google showing a real Jeep with this installed or install instructions. I may do a...
UPDATE: Trying to return my e-fans to Dirtbound for a couple of reasons....
1) I'm pretty sure a radiator is going to fix my problem.
2) I never received a full kit from them. I'm STILL missing hardware that I've asked them for and I bought these fans 2 months ago!!!
Dirtbound said that I can...
I haven't ruled that out yet.... I ran coolant cleaner thru the system and nothing crazy looking came out. I've always used distilled water but whos to say what the PO has done. I guess a new radiator and next summer temps will tell all.
I do need to regear (33s with 3.55s). I was planning to run 4.56 with 35s once my current 33s wear out, but all that depends if I can ditch this overheating problem or not.
And FINE!!! I'll return the damn e-fans!! :) That's about $550 back in my Jeep fund anyway.
I haven't bought another radiator yet since returning the damaged one back to Morris 4X4. My electric fan is stock and works pretty good. I really don't like the factory settings of when it kicks on though, but that's not the fan's fault. Going all e-fan would be nice too because I can set...
Dude... the ZJ fan clutch is killing my MPG (from 12.5 to 11). Its noisy as hell and performance has taken a hit too. There's got to be something I can do with an e-fan set up.... if not Dirtbound's set up, maybe something different?
I like the idea of decreasing the parasitic drag by...
Cool. I've got the triple e-fan setup from Dirtbound but haven't installed it yet. I'm still on the fence about installing it when I replace the radiator.
The only downside is that the kit I bought (nearly 2 months ago) wasn't complete and Dirtbound still hasn't sent all the hardware I...
How is that 52080104AC radiator holding up? Any issues with it? I'll check the dollar bill thing as well.
Fortunately/unfortunately, the summer heat has finally died down here in Las Vegas and the Jeep is running cool as a cucumber lately. That's a good thing because nobody enjoys...
Wow guys, thanks for the input... There's a lot to consider.
REDHEEP/devildog0: What would be good options for an external trans cooler set up? Where to buy or mount? What about piping (trans lines and fittings)? What is the cost of something like this?
Crawler: There seems to be...
Thanks for the suggestion, its definitely cheaper than the OEM radiator I'm currently eye-balling. The only thing is that it doesn't appear to have the trans cooler fitting on the lower driver side corner. The description makes no mention of it either. I looked around Summit and couldn't find...
