    Hood won't pop

    I've got an 89 and I reached up between the radiator and engine and popped the latch then replaced the latches with hood pins, it looks pretty bad-ass.

    how much should it cost to rebuild 89 xj engine

    After 256K my 4.0 litre has finally died, the local jeep shop quoted $2K for a Jasper engine with a 3year 75K mile warranty and around $1700 labor to take the old one out and put the new one in. I don't have that kinda cash so I am planning on going junkin for a 92 or 93HO and swap it myself.

    So after 256K miles my 4.0 has finally died. I figure since I have to replace it why not put a newer 4.0 HO in so I can have the addded HP and Torque.
