    '88 to '98 Swap

Well, the swap is done! Changed fly-wheels, manifolds and off we went! The '98 tranny seems to be working just fine. We may try to rebuild the HO at a later date if needed, it is locked up and I still have to take the head off to see the damage done. As far as cost, he paid $1400 for the '98...

    '88 to '98 Swap

Well i discovered the difference in spline count and difference in the number of pins on the plug in. The spline count is no big deal because we have the old t-case. But i think the speed sensor may be different? Any input on if I can make this work with I got?

    '88 to '98 Swap

Well after posting this I thought why not google lift kits and I saw where that will not be an issue. Looking on another site I saw where the injection system, as I knew, was different along with the head and intake. Can anyone confirm this or can the newer injection bolt up to the older intake?

    '88 to '98 Swap

I didn't even know where to start searching so I will just come out and ask. My son has an '88 XJ that has a good motor and lift but a lot of small issues. We have found a '98 with a bad motor but seems to be in real good shape. I am wondering if his 4.0 will bolt up under the fuel injection...
