I've had the same question a while back for 30" BFG tyres, and most of the answers varied from 35 - 40 psi which is way too much in my opinion. I'm running my 30" BFG's on 28 psi rear and 30 psi front and no problems at all. Have been running them for about 6 000 km now.
I don't know what all you guys in the States complain about with XJ's overheating...unless we've got different radiators in the export XJ's. I'm running my XJ here in South Africa in temperatures often exceeding 30 - 35 deg C and never a problem overheating. Temperature rises to 100 deg C...
