    Stalls/No Gauges

Thanks for the replies! The Jeep doesn't have an anti-theft system. Also, it starts up and runs just as it did before these issues. Everything works fine but it turns itself off after about 2 seconds. Any ideas?

    Stalls/No Gauges

Changed the CPS, still no go. What would cause it to automatically shut off after a few seconds?

    Stalls/No Gauges

Thanks, but those are only about the gauge problem, the main problem is that the Jeep shuts off after 2 seconds regardless of how much you rev it. It starts up fine and idles fine also, it just automatically shuts off. I think the shutting off problem and the dead gauges are related as they both...

    Stalls/No Gauges

The Jeep is a 2000 Cherokee w/ the 4.0L and an automatic transmission. The first problem is that when the key is turned to the on position, the gauges do not move at all, the second problem is that once you do start it, the Jeep stalls after 2 seconds no matter how much you rev it. The gauges...

    Stock Deck - Amp

The deck does not have a power antennae wire, just the Fused Ign. and the Radio 12V for the factory Infinity amp.

    Stock Deck - Amp

Would the fused Ign. wire be on all the time (Run/Acc.)? I only want the amp on when the radio is on?

    Stock Deck - Amp

Is it ok to use the "Fused Ign." wire from the stock deck to an aftermarket amp as a trigger wire/amp turn on? The "Radio 12V" isn't giving enough power to keep the amp on at all times (cuts in and out sometimes). Is the Fused Ign. wire ok to use for this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Axle Shafts - ZJ/XJ

Thanks for the replies, it looks like it does have CV shafts. Would the ABS rings from a 1995 YJ work? Are the rings different between Jeeps or are they all the same?

    Axle Shafts - ZJ/XJ

It's a 1994 ZJ, those didn't come with CV shafts, right?

    Axle Shafts - ZJ/XJ

Thanks for the reply. So the shafts are exactly the same including all the ABS components? I'd like to get the ABS back for on road driving.

    Axle Shafts - ZJ/XJ

My 99 Cherokee XJ originally came with ABS but sometime ago the front axle shafts were replaced with newer axle shafts. The problem is, the newer shafts do not have the ABS rings that the old shafts had. I'd like to get my ABS back, I found a set of front axle shafts from a 1994 Grand Cherokee...

    Torque Specs

I am putting the leafs back in on my 1999 XJ and I was wondering what I should torque these bolts down to: 1. U-bolts 2. Centering bolts 3. Lower shock bolts Thanks for any help!

    Lift Question

Thanks. On one of the bottom shocks bolts, the nut keeps spinning on the bolt (Doesn't tighten down), it looks like the threads are messed up. Is it ok if one of the bolts are tightened all the way down and the other not? Also what size is the nut and bolt? Thanks!!

    Lift Question

Thanks for the reply, is it ok if I put everything back together AND THEN put the swaybars back on later? Will I still be able to put them back on with the everything else bolted back on? Also does anyone know the torque specs for the shocks and the spring clamp bolt? Thanks!

    Lift Question

I'm thinking of lifting my 99 XJ, It has the 242 T-Case, and a D35. I want to put ZJ Upcountry springs in the front and S10 springs in the back to match. I'm thinking the ZJ springs will give me about 2-2 1/2" of lift. What potential problems will I be looking at? Alignment, Driveshaft angle, etc.?
