Terra Flex rear Disc Bake conversion kits

Go the junkyard route over the Tera kit. I've had it on mine for ~3 years. Had to grind down the calipers to fit stock wheels, factory ford calipers fit fine. Had the ebrake shoes essentially come apart (the friction surface and the metal plate left one another). Have had two seized star...

    Engine and front end skids

I'm on 4.5" and 31s. I would say skip the LCA skids first. The front skid is not so important, though depending on how low you are it could help save your tie rod. I would say do the engine skid, I can tell you my engine skid has more rock rash on it than my gas tank skid, but it also depends...

    8.25 Rear Disc Conversion

I have the Teraflex kit which is basically just the Ford parts. Unless you can get a hell of a deal, just swap ZJ or Explorer discs on. You may have to grind the Explorer calipers down a bit if you're still run stock steel wheels.

    bike rack recommendations?

Yup, can't go wrong with Thule or Yakima. I've got the Trakker foot packs for my Thule bars and they've been great. I also have Yakima truck bed mounts bolted to the back of the back seat for interior racks.

Fenders need trimmed with less backspacing? *pic*

unless you want to put tires into your fenders when the suspension flexes, yeah, you'll have to trim. why not just keep that setup? the tires and lift are small enough...

    RE 4.5 kit and 35's.......

yeah, I used to run that trail a lot when I was at Tech. I haven't been on there in 2-3 years now, last I remember it was getting harder. I first ran it as a stocker. Definitely good times though.

OK Uncle, I need to improve mileage or sell the Jeep.

I would say you would gain some mpg if you let it rev above 2k. By trying to keep the rpm low you're bogging the motor some. Let it shift so that it feels like it's easy for the jeep to keep its speed. Its just like on a bike, you can spin your legs slowly in a high gear but once you hit a...

even just running tires as aggressive as swampers are going to hurt mileage.
