    Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to the Sierra Chapter, URF, and the whole WCGC for hosting an excellent event! And an extra special thanks to Kevin and the other guys from the Sierra Chapter who fixed up that great dinner for us on Sunday night. After a long couple of days on Fordyce, a lot of us were...

    Fordyce Trail

Richard, I've heard of people smearing grease all over their distributer, relay box, that computer thingy, etc. I don't think either of us really want to smear grease all over our oh so pretty rigs, but it's an idea. We could just do like the locals, down a 12 pack and hit the skinny pedal :gee...

    Registration Form Available

Richard, Richard, Richard. What's happened to you? Motels, trailers, you're just becoming a slave to all these creature comforts. What's next, a little french maid to cook up all your meals? :confused1

    Fordyce Trail

Are you sure that you want to do your hood vents before Fordyce? I've seen a lot of pictures of XJ's with water up over the tops of people's hoods on that trail. Depending on how you build yours, they may just let water in more easily. If you leave your hood intact, it helps create an air pocket...

    Fordyce Trail

Hey I think I found it! Is that Eagle Lakes exit right around N39 19' 15" W120 33' 55"? There's a Fordyce Cr right there in the area. Thanks for the tip Steinjeep! Do we just in/out the same trail, or do we loop around the lake and Fordyce Summit?

    Fordyce Trail

Ummm, gee CA is a really big state, you think that you could narrow that search range down for us a bit? Maybe give us the freeway number? Is it near any "towns"? Or should we all just run a mapquest search on "Silverleaf Dr"? :party1:

    Fordyce Trail

Now that I have his address, I was planning on staying at Andy's. Actually I thought all of us are. I hear the breakfast is great! :chef:

What are some good places to go wheeling?

We were just at Evans Creek, NW of Mt. Rainier near Carbonado, last weekend. A couple of the trails are suitable for stock rigs. Trail numbers 120, 199, 280, and 311 should be passable with a stock rig. 520 might be passable when dry, 197 you'll need to get some body protection. You can pick up...

Any one goning to browns camp soon?

Well what they did was dump loose rock over just about everything. I could see them filling in a few of the holes, but they just went way overboard. They completly changed the waterfall on Archers so now people are just tearing things up trying to find a decent line. Actually since it's all...

Any one goning to browns camp soon?

Sorry, I don't think any of us are going to TSF for a couple of weeks. Some of us are headed up to Evans Cr., WA next week so we're just not going to be around for awhile. I'm usually posting when a group of us are TSF bound so just keep your eyes open :eyes: for a post here. Oh, bad news. The...

Lets Play "When They Were Young"

Looks like one of those long-haired hippie types. Not some one that I'd want to follow, looks like he'd just get you in trouble. I bet he doesn't even drive a proper XJ. Nice shirt though. :fuse:

    Rubicon patrol vehicle.

Great just what we need, Big Brother on the trail. Isn't there any place left to escape? Now there will be even more empty beer cans on the trail because people won't want "empty containers" in their Jeep. This really looks like the beginning of the end to me. I've never seen a bad situation...

    Official planning thread!

Jeff, there's just too much to see out here in a week or two. You just need to sell your house, pack your Jeep, and move out to the West Coast. CA is always looking for new residents (to increase their tax base). We got Brat's out here too, and sorry but our beer and cheese is better than yours.
