Any thoughts on what to do if you trashed your stock airbox and replaced it with a cone K&N without the filter being on the outside of the rig? (and without going to the junkyard)
I run all Rustys gear never had any problems. I have the 3'' add a leaf with 1.75" shackle in the rear due to my saggy a$$! I kinda like the set up cuz i get lots of flex with the busted old leafs, go figure. Depends on how far you're gonna push ur rig I suppose. I can't seem to throw anything...
So Let me get this straight.... I don't have to pull the entire trans to tighten the flex plate? I've got a 96 XJ I6 with the similar symptoms for months now and there is an access panel to tighten the 4 bolts to fix this rattle trap? WTF?
You Tube has some pretty good videos of XJ knocks, noises, and solutions. Flex Plate sounds like a pretty good bet but the sound should diminish at higher RPMs.
Ive got a 96 sport 3 inch Rustys on 31s and I haven't had any issues w/ the stock TB. In fact its a DD and I run no front swaybar. Rides way better than stock little sketchy in sharp turns while braking but especially better off road. :looney:
