Track bar drivers side bolt just spinning

I'm going to try jacking it up, then hitting it down with a hammer, then cutting it, then removing the whole mount. I dont think you can remove the whole mount without removing the trackbar and some other stuff.

Track bar drivers side bolt just spinning

Yeah I've got an entirely new trackbar. Just will replace the castle nut at the top.

Track bar drivers side bolt just spinning

Does anyone know what the size of that bolt is, so I can find another nut to go on the new one... I'm planning on cutting right where the fork is shoved in, in this picture:

Track bar drivers side bolt just spinning

My trackbar is to the point where I don't want to drive it out of fear that the joint is going to fail... It has enough play that you can turn the wheel from 10-2 while the jeep is off and it won't move the wheels. I got the lower passenger side out without much trouble, The pin in the castle...

Swapping the axles on XJ and MJ

We actually found a nearly new Dana 35 that won't require any modification to fit in the XJ. So that is good to go. Why won't the XJ leaves fit in the MJ? It'll need new perches or what is the problem? Can you modify them to fit it? This is going to be trail only.

Swapping the axles on XJ and MJ

I've decided to go a different direction and turn the XJ back to a stocker for my DD. It's still a '98 with not too many miles on it, and I've taken pretty good care of it. I found a '88 MJ with a salvage title that'll make a great trail beater, and I've decided to get it and swap the...

    NOVA people skeak up

Which district were you thinking of going to? The wheeling down off 33 is better than the wheeling off 678 up in Lee.

    Note to self...

Haha, funny you should post this. I got four bolts into my leaf spring swap last night and decided to wait until next weekend when my buddy comes home. His garage has a lift and air tools. I could have done it, but it would've taken HOURS and I was getting worn out after just fighting with...

Was I understanding correctly that these are going to be somewhere in the ballpark of $200-250? Lift off, removable windows, optional windows.

    Holiday plans?

BBQ on Sunday at girlfriends parents house. Saturday will consist of flushing diff fluid, installing 8.25 rock ring, new rear leafs, repainting fenders, changing oil, adding coolant... I'm sure more stuff will pop up. Guess which one I'm looking forward to more?

    gearing with 33's

Just made that jump myself. It is the best thing I've ever done to the Jeep. Put a locker in as well. Do it! It finally has power, it feels like a different vehicle. You can put it in 4 low, first gear, let the clutch out and put the brakes nearly on the floor. It won't stall, it'll push...
