    Erratic Misfire

    I'm no expert,but mine does kinda the same,right after idle,as soon as I hit the gas it cuts out,then is fine after I get the RPMS up. EGR Valve perhaps? Mine is missing the hose on it I believe,or I'm guessing a vaccum line goes there? Sorry for the hi jack,just throwing out some info.

    Mine does the same thing,but only when the jeep is off. So make sure it's running. If it still does it while running it has to be a vacuum I would think.

    Sputtering Xj

    Seems like every XJ i've seen cuts out a little right above idle. But only when you put your foot down. I'm not sure if this is your exact problem,but I know either way it sucks. But is yours cutting out all over the rpm range? Or just of idle like I mentioned?

    Sorry to be off subject here,but does anyone know if the older renix jeeps have a bleed valve for the master cylinder? Mine won't build pressure a squirts all over the floor. (bought it like this) the plunger is bad in it,so I can just replace it with a rebuild right? And yea....getting fluid...

    Alright so I just bought mine,and on another thread I read that these have dana 44 rear end. I haven't looked at mine much but I assumed it had a 35,does anyone know for sure? I know the difference between the two,but I haven't looked. So did both come on the 87? It's a 4.0 5 speed with 3.07...
