Water? on passenger side floor (not heater core)

that sounds exactly like what happens when the cowl drain gets plugged. Water fills the heater system and then dumps out.

will an non-HO gas tank go into my 91 HO xj, and if so can I use the fuel pump that is in the new tank or do I need to swap my fuel pump to it.

    31's on Budget Boost?

depends a lot on the year. I think it's 90 and older that have the largest space inside the fender, then 91-95, and 97+ are the smallest.

Tires: I've searched for weeks! HELP

nearly everything a newbie needs to know about an older XJ: http://members.aol.com/Stvns/XJhelp1.html page 2 has tire and lift info, but I recommend reading the whole thing.

    Radial tire trail pressure???

many aluminum wheels have a casting lip across the inside of the bead. It doesn't affect normal driving, but at low pressures it can make it easier to pop a bead off.

    Radial tire trail pressure???

10 psi is what I would have been running. My guess is that you just had bad luck and there was a projection from the log that pushed on your sidewall just right to pop the bead. if that is the case at a higher pressure the tire may have been too rigid to be pushed out of the way and the...

    Homebrew Quick-Disco's

Mine are about as home brew as you can get. I cut the top bushing section off my XJ links and welded it onto the top of TJ links. I still have the ball and socket of the TJ link (which allows for some movement so it doesn't blow bushings and bend the threads like XJ links do) with the stock XJ...

    What needs made?

I can have them made, but since they would be one-offs they would be quite expensive.

    Surco Mount Question

A drill :eyes: the elbow shaped sections that go from the main braces to the gutter mounts have two holes, and the gutter mounts have two matching holes. Instead of lining up the two holes position the gutter mounts higher so the bottom hole in the gutter mount lines up with the upper hole in...

    Surco Mount Question

I thought the gutter mounts on my 91 sat too high so I re-drilled the holes so what was the upper bolt became the lower one. That made the rack sit about 1.5" lower

    1 1/4 reciever for recovery

I wouldn't trust it. Sure there's some margine for error in the design, but a stuck vehicle can easily put more load than 3,500 lbs on a tow point.

    air bag question?

yes, it measure G-force of deceleration, so changing bumpers and such will not harm it, and dropping the front hard down on a rock will not trigger it. Some guys with big aftermarket bumpers have claimed that the air bag went off when it should not have, based on the fact that the rig was not...

    Hood Louvers Question

My single rear facing scoop is right over the manifolds. My thought was to direct air flow accross the engine and out. It has had a very obvious difference in temperature when wheeling.
