Same here. Mine was $25.
If your truck isn't registered (its trail only) you have absolutely no need to install a catalytic converter. They are only required on licensed vehicles.
Well, your D30 has got a double cardan so really it's angle shouldn't matter unless it's really bad. I have a 6" lift and don't have a problem. If you start rotating that axle your going to mess up your caster angle.
When I put a Ford 8.8 on the back, I just put the Ubolts on and then rotated...
Got mine off ebay. What you need to do is find a list of what other cars use the same speedo gear. Then you can search for each kind. There's literally dozens of different cars they came in... many you'd never think of. I think I paid $10 for mine plus actual shipping.
You can swap axles, find an 8.8 and a D30 in a salvage yard with 4:10s in them already, and a swap kit, for under $400. Maybe even $300 if you're lucky.
Regearing your current axles to 4.56 is going to cost $400 just for the parts, you wont get a better rear axle out of the deal. If you don't...
Yea, I had holes all over mine. I got a sheet of 1/8" thick steel, cut it to fit and welded her down. Then I hurculined over it, and it looks like it was meant to be. I brag that my floors are bullet proof now... although, I have to hope my assassins try and shoot be from under my truck I guess.
Everyones not mentioning the elephant in the room. You can get 2 axles with STOCK 4.10s in them for under $300. And at the same time upgrade them to like an 8.8
Or you can have the axles regeared for $600 to $800
Can't get stock 4.56s or 4.88
also, +12 to the windows make em go up... -12 make them go down.
A simple toggle switch could be used to repair them. I ripped out my entire Doorlock, window electrical system and rewired it to 5 toggles in my dash. Now I have 2 pairs of wires running to each door instead of a 2" thick bundle...
All flares have the same problem. They are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. I could buy a bunch of steel and weld up awesome tube flares for under $100. Why would I spend $500 on cheap plastic?
Seriously, someone needs to come up with a more reasonably priced flare option so these Boso's and Bushwacker...
Yea, if someones going to invent a new kind of breakline, invent one I don't have to flare for gods sake. The only problem anyone has with breaklines is finding out that you need to make a double butt joint flare or some other crap and find out it's nearly impossible to find the tool to do it.
I have a 30yr old XJ with an odometer that stopped working at 230,000 miles. Doesn't leak a drop of oil. That's why. Changing your rear main seal is an event that probably only happens once or twice in the lifetime of a vehicle so it's certainly a good time to just go out and get a new oilpan...
one suggestion, since you have it off anyways, replace the oilpan and oilpan seal while you're at it. Also get all the seals for your oil filter and filter adapter. Just to it all at once. They are probably all leaking.
