    trans still leaking

Are you using a gasket or RTV on the tranny pan? I had the same smoking problem and fixed it by using a good cork gasket instead of liquid gasket on the pan.

    Southern XJ's

I'm on my second XJ, a southern-raised 95 XJ after my first 91 XJ rusted away before my eyes in my driveway. I was fortunate enough to find a North Carolina XJ in Chicago and bought it just on the body alone. The old dealer sticker listed Mocksville, NC. I'd rather do mechanical work than...

    new XJ owner

Folks in this forum are going to tell you to do a search 'cause this question has been asked before, but since I bought my 95 XJ last year here's what I've HAD (not wanted) to do: Repair TC - $600 (for rebuild and install - if I had to do it again, I would do it myself for a lot less.) Shift...

    Broken "ears" on quick connect

I just replaced all of the QD's on my XJ this past week. Once the ears were gone, I had to Dremeled off the rest of the QD fittings and used hose clamps when I replaced the lines. ALL of the QD's on my transmission lines were leaking and I was told that you can only take them off a few times...

    Real Quick Radiator Question...

Well, got it done. AZ said they had a Transpro for 128.00 so I went with it. The box said GoDan, so again, I guess it's all irrelevant since they're probably all the same. NAPA for the first time disappointed me, they had a Modine for $181.00. The radiator pull was fairly easy. The hard...

How hard to install cruise control?

If $300 is a little steep to you, I bet you can pull all the parts from a yard for a lot cheaper and it's real quick and easy to pull the parts, only about four major parts total. Having installed a cruise recently, I wish I had done it that way. Just make sure you pull it from the exact same...

How hard to install cruise control?

Very easy on my 95 XJ, about one hour max. Airbag was no problem so long as you disconnect the battery and unscrew the arming screw. If you're really scared of the bag, you can work on it from outside the window or from the passenger seat. Totally plug and play if you get the kit from...

    Real Quick Radiator Question...

Called around, came up with a GoDan(?) from Advance for $132, Transpro for $128 from AZ, and Modine from NAPA for $180. Did a search but now confused, is GoDan the same as the Transpro, Part No. 432335? Thanks. (Yeah, I've posted the same question at JF, but need an answer quick - gotta get the...

    Adding Cruise

^^^X2 Got the kit from Jeepsaurus and slapped it on in about an hour and a half. But you could probably get the parts from a junkyard a lot cheaper, just make sure you get them from the same year because there are difference in the various years. I think the Jeepsaurus kit was only about two...
