97 XJ sport, white, 4.0, auto First off, this jeep started as a 2wd, I have swapped the axles, but haven't got to the trans/t-case, but they are included with the jeep. Has the RE 5.5" extreme duty 36x1350 Swamper IROKS D30/chry. 8.25 27 spline, 3.55, lockrites in both Custom 6 pt cage $6000...

So i have a 92 4x4 and a 97 2wd. I heard that you can just change some adapter piece on the 97 tranny so it will mate up with the t-case. Is this true? Or would I be better off just swapping the whole tranny from the 92 into the 97. thanks

Yeah, I'm buying a cage from the guy who bought my first Jeep, should have it in about 2 weeks, then I'll be ready to go, just need to find a prop. valve.
