    Broken window switch

I managed to find all the bits from the switch, and tracked every thing down. There was just about everything wrong at the same time. The lock switch decided to only work some of the time, a previously repaired wire on the driver side was only making contact some of the time. Everything is...

    Broken window switch

Thanks for the suggestions. The switch was pushed into the panel. I lost the switch for awhile, which really mad things tough. I found the switch so will now start from scratch. The AC didn't work when I bought this rig, so I deleted most of what was there. It was only 112F yesterday.

    Broken window switch

The passenger side window switch on my 94 XJ got pushed in and broken. Now I can't operate the window from the driver side. Is there a way to hot wire the passenger side wiring so I can at least operate it from the driver side? I can't find a junk yard one the same, it is a 6 pin switch.

    Ignition key issue

I solved my own problem. I sprayed the switch and collum with electrical contact cleaner, let it sit for a couple of minutes and it started right up.

    Ignition key issue

My 94 XJ ignition key was stuck, wouldn't turn. I sprayed it with wd-40 and penetrating oil. It turned and started. I shut it off, now it turns fine and turns on all the accessories, but won't engage the starter. The wheel is unlocked and I can shift it but no starter. Any ideas would be...

94 XJ fast idle like 2000 rpm

I was worried about being bored when I retired, so I bought a Jeep. Sure solved that problem! Would a multi meter tell me my IAC was only working part time.

    High idle. IAC?

I spent 3 weeks trying to figure out what was causing fast idle on my 94. No CEL and the fast idle only happened when it warmed up. It would run up to 1500 to 1700 then come back slowly, and wouldn't idle when it first started cold. I put in a new IAC yesterday, ALL IS WELL!

94 XJ fast idle like 2000 rpm

I don't have access to a lot of equipment to diagnose problems, so I have to try as I go. So far so good (I hope)!

94 XJ fast idle like 2000 rpm

I don't own a multimeter (yet). What is driving me nuts, is that it starts fine, runs great, and at times idles at 750 rpm. I've repaired vacuum leaks, in fact I can't believe it ran with the number of bad hoses it had. Is there a way to test the IAC? Could the temp sensors have anything to...

94 XJ fast idle like 2000 rpm

I'm about ready to go back to being a Ford man. I bought a 94 XJ in August. It ran great no issues. about a month ago it wouldn't start without giving it throttle. I cleaned the throttle body, and the idle air control motor. I seemed fine for awhile, then the idle Rpm kept increasing as it...
