just wanted to make sure its not somthing i did. Got pump from advanced auto, maybe like you said thats the problem. Fluid level is right where it need to be. As long as its okay like that until I can get a knew one.

New pump, no smoke, no noise, bleed system . just hard to turn a low speeds.

I just want to know if anyone would know what to look for. It feels like I lose power steering when slowly moving like pulling into a parking space. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a cotter pin on the castle nut that connects the centerlink to the pitman arm. I promise this will be my last post on this whole steeing deal. Oh yeah I forgot once I got everythig changed I went to release the parking break and the damn button broke off! It just keeps coming.

Does the pitman arm need pressed on or do you just torque the nut to 185lbs. Yeah I know I'm a idiot.

New steering box w/ indexed spline It's a 1997 don't know if it matters

Does the pitman arm point to the front of the car or the rear when installing. Mine has been apart for several weeks i forgot.

Can anyone tell me the torque spec for the pitman arm nut, and if there is a required torque for the steering gear box bolts? I have a 97 4.0 Cherokee.
