I got it to start I had to hold the gas to the floor then it sputtered and finally started... I did spray cleaner in all the vacuum ports too so maybee that was it. I guess I just figured it wasnt that much.
I cleaned what I believe to be the MAT sensor with throttle body cleaner and now it wont start. It is the sensor on the intake manifold in line with the vacuum ports. It ran fine before I pulled the sensor out to clean it. Would cleaning it make it not start? Its a 93 XJ 4.0
Yea but sometimes it will purr like a kitten... Not a single miss and run great. I dont understand it, I know its not going to be as smooth as say a toyota prius lol but c'mon!!! It gets so rough that if I let off the gas it chuggs forward or reverse whichever direction im going and the whole...
I have unplugged both the map and cts while the jeep was running. That in turn turned the check engine light on. Could that be why?
I thought maybee internal at first but that doesnt explain why every once in a while it will run great with no misfire at all and sometimes are worse than others...

No I havent removed it, but I cant speak for the previous owner, he replaced the head gasket right before I bought it. I just bought it 2 months ago and it has done this since I bought it. I thought it needed a tune up but nothing has fixed the problem so far. And this problem comes and goes...
Actually looking at it now and being a boat builder and knowing how big those fills are and the fact that it is only an 18gal tank its not that big correct? It would be ok in the back of your XJ as long as it is vented correctly (the 3/4 barb) and bonded to earth ground. It says bond to earth...
There is no way to disarm the sentry system. The only way is to have it towed to the dealer. You will have to buy a new remote also but they have to have the vehicle in order to program the new one. Once you get it working do yourself a favor and get one from ebay and the owners manual will...
YES... Any grey chrysler key is embeded with a chip and the black keys are valet keys. They are correct in what they told you. If you try to start any chrysler vehicle that is sentry chipped with another key it will run for 2sec then die the security or theft light will flash on the dash. I...
well in order for that tank to work you would have to stand it up so the fittings are at the top and it looks like its pretty tall... Does it fit in the back of an XJ?
