    Can I get the part in red off without disconnecting the lines? There is still refrigerant in the system so cant disconnect it till in a shop.

    You are the man! Thanks so much! So I need to drain the AC then? Can that be done at home and keep the coolant? I know that stuff is expensive. I do have a leak in my AC and the summer is coming up would be nice to just get it fixed while everything is apart.

    So obviously the 6 or 7 nuts I need to take off are from the engine side of firewall? Do you know if they carry the special tool at harbor freight?

    Ok, thanks guys, yeah I got them apart, I am going to coat them in grease before I put them back together to help next time, good idea. They were just connected by those bolts. Im going to do a write up with pictures how to take the dash apart because it was really easy just its like a maze...

    So I am the guy who breaks every clip off the connectors in frustration and feels good about it because I will never have to unclip it in the awkward position it is and just yank it out next time. Also usually end up stripping a wire or two with the pliers as they slip off the housing. However...
