    I actually have a factory cross bar to hold up the spare tire on one of my MJ's. I can get a pic if anybody is interested. It came on a nice stock 2 wheeler I bought.

    Actually 86 was the first year for the MJ, it never had the carbed 4 cylinder. Just one year of the V-6 that had a carb.

    I've got a 2.5 with a 5 speed, 4.5 inch lift, 32 1150 15's, 4:10 gears and no problem.

    Could be a leaky seal on the front of the trany.

    If it has opening wing windows check those very carefully. They all leak.

    Hard to put AX15 into gear when hot

    Is the clutch contaminated with oil from a leaky seal. Thats what caused mine to get sticky &hard to shift.
