I reamed my WJ knuckles from the top down for Chevy 1 ton rod ends and used 1/4" DOM tubing made up from me from Sky's Offroad Design. It was stout and I had no issues.
With 6" RE front springs and a ZJ pitman arm, my angles were pretty good.
I used unit bearings from an unknown year, but I KNOW they were pre-95ish - no where near 2000. But I did find different width ones at the junkyard, who knows, maybe they were replaced with newer ones... Just double check your spacing.
I did used new XJ balljoints, and I had horrible death...
I made mine out of sch. 40 pipe. It weighed 103 pounds.
The name stickers were a joke for my wife, the first tree took them off.
I only bolted them to the stock roof rack holes. It worked great for the short time I had the jeep, I was eventually going to tie it into a full exo, but sold...
I mounted mine to the JKS OTA bracket.
I know others will disagree, but this was the only thing that would fix my death wobble. (After brand new balljoints, all new steering, etc...)
