Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Victory for the small guy yesterday.

Renting in denver metro is out of hand as we all know. And property management companies are getting crazy. Our old one violated Colorado law, then tried taking us to collections for items that we wrote up on move in. Total disaster. We filed suit. They lawyers up. Started racking up what they wanted us to pay. Etc etc.
well fortunately I had enough ducks lined up to walk in and get the lawyer to settle on a wash. Lose the deposit, yes. But save myself other court dates and days missed of work. Total win for us.

At least you avoided some of the bs. Sucks about your deposit.

My old manager lady. Always thought she was shady. Had to bug the crap out of her for 2 weeks for my deposit back. So glad I don't rent now.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So last night Deb picked me up from work and we ran a few errands before deciding to grab dinner at Old Chicago on Academy and Austin Bluffs. $33.00 for dinner and a couple of cold beers. Waitress got a $7.00 tip. $40 bucks total...simple math, right.

So this morning Deb checks our account ( she's really good about that) and SURPRISE!!!!....A $51.37 transaction.
Fat fingers? Not even close!

So I call the restaurant and now I have to take time out of my weekend to bring my receipt and a copy of the transaction statement down to the restaurant so they can explain to me why I was billed for an additional $11.37.

Is it a fortune? Of course not, but it is MY money.
Like all of you, I work for it. I get to decide what I want to spend it on and how much.

I get to lose time and money because someone got greedy.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So now we're being told it may be the banks fault or rhe server may have accidentally put someone else's bill on our card.

Either way we have to wait a few days to see what is actually paid by the bank.

Frustrating.

That's some grade A B.S. ill bet the server tipped themselves more then what was on the bill

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Getting some of them fenders finally. And notching still kicks my ass. If anyone has any fantastic tips if love to hear them.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

What are you notching with? Good angle finder, good math, and a good notched and it fits every time.... most of the time.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

On an older Chevy truck. High HP motor. Big rubber. Stay with a Chevy 60 or convert to run drive drop to use a Ford? Will be locked. Gearing undecided.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Mine is for 1.75 too. I'm going to get a 1.5" too. It can be a bit tedious to use sometimes. Back when I had access to an actual notcher it was less useful. Now that I have to use my plasma and grinder it's much more worth the tediousness of it.

Toilet paper/paper towel rolls work well to mock up notches too.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I found a paper towel roll to be better in the end run.

The tool is nice, but can be a pain to use.

Mine has never been a "push against the node and it gives it to you".

Its always been more of a "use one hand to hold it, the other to push the rods down"

Whenever I tried to get it to fit a notch, the rods would just push around the side of the tube.

It can work very well, but it can also be frustrating.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I have a notcher it has never been used . It is just as as easy to mark your lines on the tube and cut the notches with an angle grinder or or chop saw . If I was cutting tube everyday I would probably want a professional level tool , but I've see guys who build certified cages and they were not using a notcher just a chop saw and grinder .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Drove almost 300 round trip miles to Holycross it rained just in time to slick up the obstacles and Cleveland rock . The rain made the few obstacles on the way to the city just slick enough to be fun . I was hoping for the rain to hold off and yield a dry Cleveland rock , but that did not happen . I tried the Left but it was wet and muddy So my front wanted to slip sideways ...lol...if I could have gotten my left rear to climb the rock in front of the face it would have gone over. So into the Right side sissy line , which I made under my own power to the top The cage and boat sides made it work ...lol...I ran my entire passenger side into the tree a sheet metal side would have been crushed and probably gouged itself into the tree , and after clearing the tree the line between some boulders was only possible without dragging with a winch due to boatsides and no gas tank skid hanging down .

LOL...very little footage of Cleveland rock I do have some victory shots at the top on one of my phones , but I need to see if anyone in the group got video of me eating the dead tree with cage to get to victory .

Looking at these pics makes me wish I left the tire pressure. ..alone...I aired up to 8-10 psi from the 3-5 I was testing them at and from the pics it was too much air ...lol...maybe could have got the back driver tire to come up the rock that denied me the Left line on Cleveland...Left my box with all my tire patch tools at home and spare at the trailer , which is why I adjusted the pressure..

Just received my new Promaxx Head. Should I have them send me another or trust in the one they dropped on my door step?

Stopped at the D.O.T. scale house in Idaho springs at the 234 i70 since they were closed but you can read your weighs on their platform scale ...Trailer axles are 7,800 lbs that's 800 over their capacity . Trucks axles were both right at 4450 steer axle and 4450 drive axle ...total gross...17,700 lbs...lol...and was pulling Eisenhower at 65 on 35s and stock 3.73 . My buddy has a Magnum v-10 ...I pulled off at the brake check area and waited for him to top the pass...lol.
