There are some 'qualities' I've come to discover in the NAXJA user base. Not trying to insult but you know you've seen it. If we can't make fun of ourselves..

For every 1 person that buys a new part, you will see:
- 4 that get it from a junkyard
- 2 that will rebuild it
- 1 that will find it free from someone who knows someone

For ALMOST every trail, you will find:
- 5 people who says you should be moderately built
- 1 person who says you can run it stock
- 1 person who says you need tons

Any other contributions?

For every person running 37"+ tires you will find:
- 10 people saying you need 6"+ of lift
- 10 people saying they run a D30 and "wheel hard" and never have issues
- 100 people that web wheel
- 9 people that have a rig built for it
- 5 of those 9 people that have a rig but it never leaves jackstands or the garage.
- 1 guy that wonders why you aren't running rockwells.

for every 10 overheating issues in the OEM forum:
3 really arent overheating at all.
3 dont give enough info to help them
2 end up having a cracked head
1 is towing a trailer in the mountains somewhere in overdrive
1 is so positive he has all the answers already that you cant help him anyways...

For every 100 people saying an ECU is bad:
90 couldn't use a multimeter if their life depended on it
99 have no idea what is actually the problem
1 has actually had a bad ECU

Show me a jeeper that says the NP242 is for soccer moms, and I'll show you one that lives in a warm climate.

I like mine in Houston ...

Out of every 100 XJ owners with an oem tech question;
All 100 get a long winded response from Kastein mocking them for not using a multi meter

nah, I tell them to shake the wiring harness and use an oscilloscope first

For every 10 rigs built on tons in the NAC:

3 will be wheeled without major issues for over 2 years.
2 will sit on jackstands for at least 2 years.
5 will be parted out within 2 years.

lets see...

my first one was wheeled without major issues for 4 years
my second one sat for almost a year, then it made it about 2.5 years before being parted out.

yup.

I've been over 2 years on mine and it hasn't sat on jackstands for a long time.

Does that somehow mean I'm in the first group?

I don't buy it...

As long as I'm not on the part out list I'm happy!!

NP242 is for people who don't want to ever be able to buy a $175 SYE kit

Out of 100 forum users
Only 1 or two actually have a life.

At least one will argue that bolting his cage in over the carpet is just fine and not going to cause issues at all
