before the crawl my junk needs.....

Im relatively new to the NAXJA side but not Jeeps. Im about 3 1/2 hrs west of Black Mountain, never been though. Would like to try and make this trip if I can.

I need to get my stiffeners burned in and get started on my 2x6 rockers, then Im pretty much ready shy of a little preventative maintainance and cooler stocking. :D
 
Made a new list:

Reinforce sliders
Replace shock
Build front Bumper
Install winch
Check brakes
Paint front end
Swap transmission
Rewire rock lights
Add some speakers
Limit straps
Build rear bumper
Remove Reese hitch
Fix power steering whine
Find 97+ grille
New battery
Check cooling system
Wire e-fan to toggle switch
Have tire vulcanized
Check gear oil

:/ Sure wish I had more time to work on stuff.

Got me a list too

Check cooling system
Limit straps
Gas tank relocation
Rear shock hoops and new shocks
Buy two new D rings for rear bumper
Maybe convert to a 3 link, but i doubt it
Make some random mounts and tabs

Probably start on a hybrid cage when i get back, my list isnt all that bad.

Andy, if you will wheel Gulches with me one weekend i will offer my services to you to help you work on the gold Jeep for a day. Or I'll drive my little car and help you if you really need/ want the help.

Oil pan replaced
new axle shafts and seals
new bumper, tire carrier, hitch installed
new front control arms

my trailer is getting tires this week and i'm welding a platform on for the golf cart, doing wheel bearings this week also.

RV needs a once over once its warm and possible front tow hooks.

still got the rest to do along with whatever it might need after winterfest and some wheeling between now and the crawl...

need to get tires balanced after winterfest to see if that is the vibration issue

UGLYXJ needs shocks and bump stops all around... and I need to make sure the cooling system is up to par. Have overheated many times in the past on the trails. And anything else that comes from sitting for 7 months of no use.

Make sure cooling system is top notch.
Fix A/C.

Tire carrier of some kind.
Rear locker would be fantastic.

Ball joints installed, late model axle shafts installed, and steering installed over the weekend.

Now to tame the death wobble and try to take out some of the roll in the new steering.
 
Got my new front shackles installed on the MJ so no more inversion.

Ordering a spare rear driveshaft today

Getting a new CB/antenna this week (Friday)

Have my winch mounting brackets ready just need to get my neighbor to weld it up so I can install my winch.

Ordered DOM and heims for my tie rod since LRG bent my tierod enough to worry me last year so I need to measure cut and have the inserts welded in once it all arrives...then hope it will fit OTK.

Need to hit the junkyard as I broke the driver side armrest on the door so I need to hunt one down.

Still need to shave the 14B so Nick won't yell at me

Need to get ramps made for my trailer.

Still hoping somehow I will have the money to put some swampers on the MJ...but I think I'll have to wait until next year.

Have all fuel money a most of the cabin money already saved up and hidden...so other than these few things and topping off all fluids in the dodge and MJ we're ready!!!!!!!!!

Looks like my list got a little longer. Adding a front driveshaft, a better rear driveshaft than the temporary one that's too long, pinion bearing, and possibly gears if mine are screwed. Lord I hope I don't find too much else wrong or I'll be waiting another year.

Screw the pinion bearing, HP swap, if anybody know where I can get one for relatively cheap in good enough condition to just drop in give me a holler.

Oh yea? If that is the case for Columbia I know what I'm doing Saturday. I need a front shaft to make a spare for Ghost and NSS for Greenie!
