Need good jeans

I don't like wranglers they get little lint balls in side of them and they itch the shit out of my legs. I wear duckies 90 percent of the time but I like my levis for going out or just beatingnthem up around the house doing chores and such. Only problem is I have long legs too and jeans usually pinch my Peter up unless I sag them a little. I have about 3 pairs of IS jeans that are still like new after 10years but they are no longer made. Last time I went to buy jeans I was at the mall with my wife and I couldn't find anything other than skinny jeans. pissed me off so sears it was.

Most of my jeans are Levi's. Have not bought any in the past few years, so I can not say how the current quality is. I have a pair of Nautica jeans, only because they were dirt cheap at marshalls 12 years ago, but they are still going. I have never had dickies jeans, but have had their pants/shorts and still have some from when I was in high school. So I would think their quality is just as good. And for the price, why not.

Levi's 501's.
Ive got some that are 3 years old and still holding up GREAT.

This is the best Jean out there IMHO. It is all I ever wear!

Ive always worn nothing but Levi's 550's but recently, they have not had the quality they used to. The belt loops coming off, pockets ripping off, and they hadnt even seen any work duty. Next time I buy Im gonna look at the Carharts, and the Dickies.

I ordered some jeans from Duluth Trading Co. the other night. They reinforce the waistband, pockets and hems with fire hose canvas and have extra space in the crotch that they refer to as "Ballroom" construction...:D We'll see how those do, and I'll probably try a couple others from this thread once my taxes come back.

A friend at work wears the fire hose jeans and says they are awesome and seem indestructible so far. I have been meaning to get a few pair, the double knee variety are popular with motorcyclist from what I've seen also.

I've had Carharts (spelling?) for years & years, love them. Levis hold up OK, Wranglers hold up OK - Carharts wear like iron. I think they are made in the USA, too - but don't quote me.
Dickies I hear good things but haven't owned any.
Seriously - I've worked in deserts, mountains, junkyards & auto garages. It takes years of focused effort without changing my pants to break down Carrharts.

I've been buying $15 faded glory carpenters for years now. The beltloops tear off after 6mo if you hang half a pound of keys off them and then run around like an idiot, and they do tear if you snag them on sharp metal corners and then clumsily keep walking. Otherwise no "complaints".

If they came in 33x36 I'd be more than happy, 34x34 is about the closest stocked so I end up wearing a belt to keep em on.

I bought new jeans yesterday.

Went to the $15 rack at Sears.

They fit nice and are comfortable.
Must be nice to be normal shaped...I've always bought cheap jeans too, but I got tired of them falling apart. Plus, I got fatter, and apparently at my height, I'm not allowed to have a 44" waist. :D

I have some faded glory carpenters. The door latch on my Jeep ripped one pair open while getting in, a bolt on a tank ripped the other. Overall decent jeans, help up considerably better than the freakin Lee's I bought.

I'm guessing you're about 6'2"? 280 to 300 lbs or so?

I wear the same size. I think it's BS that it's ok to be short and fat but not tall and fat. Stay away from the big and fat stores. Their brands are crap.
Schmidts from Tractor Supply will last a long time but they are saggy as crap. Look like a baby with a full diaper hanging down in the back all the time.

The Faded Glory I've had have done a nice job.

And for whatever reason whatever 'rental pants' I've had from uniform suppliers at work (steel mill, trucking and construction) have worked well too.

BUT as of late, I've made the jump to cargo pants and haven't looked back.

If you don't HAVE to have jeans take a look at Proper uniform cargos and 5.11 uniform cargos. You can find them at www.galls.com. The Propers fit right, have elastic in the waist band (they are a tactical pant) and are tough as nails. 5.11 is THE name in fire, police and EMS uniforms. Can't go wrong there either.

I have a pair of ripstop material Wrangler Cargo's I got from Wally World that are really nice.

And if you are about the same size as me have you noticed that belt loops love storm door latches?

I hate that.

They love some styles of doorknobs and some other stuff too.

The commercial door handles are trhe worst. If you have any momentum at all that belt loop is gone.
