Just stumbled upon these mass tech articles on everything about modifying XJs...

it's from Off-Road Adventures Magazine. Which is the 4-wheel parts magazine basically. Don't let that throw you off, I sorta scrolled through some of the info real quick and read the titles, and looked like a ton of good stuff.

That's alot of good info for the newbs, maybe it should be added to a sticky to help them gain a little info before posting without searching.

Really good info, hopefully anyone who is starting reads these and pays attention (listens). I sure wish I did.

taken from one of those pages...

"The XJ can flex! You can easily get more flex out of the rear than the front. That tends to make for an unstable vehicle. Better to have articulation evenly balanced front to rear, or at least 40 percent front/60 percent rear. A Rubicon Express long arm kit makes articulation balance easy."

Rear can flex better than the front? Am i missing something?

Bookmarked so it can be passed on if it is ever unstuck by the mods or admin folks.

Thank you for finding these. It helped answer a few questions about axles. Any good explanations of the track bars and what needs to go with them? (Brackets of some kind?) Along with a track bar, what would I need for up front?
Thanks!

And another big thank you for posting this, I'm also new to XJ's and am looking forward to soaking up all this info like a sponge so I can apply it to modifying mine into a fantastic trail rider! Thanks again!
