You'll also need a thermostat & temp sensor housing won't you?
That's how mine knows what temp my motor's at since the open radiator doesn't have the sensor hole in it.

Well the temp sensor for the computer can be left in the same place, and so can the one for the gauge. The one you must've relocated to the t-stat housing must be for your electric fan. My GDI radiator that I bought had the bung in it for just such a conversion. No the t-stat housing isn't necessary however, I did it at the same time just so I could move my computer one up to it. For some reason the thermostat went from a 194 to 195 between 90 and 91 so I don' think that's crucial either.
