State Inspection

Ok guys.. so my cat is clogged.. only problem. no cash for a new one..

Both my tags are out since the jeep was parked..

I need to get the inspection so I can then cut my cat off and not worry about it for a year.. then go get my Registration renewed and new plates.

Question is though can I get it inspected w/o an up to date Registration, but good insurance??

Yes, Registration is not part of the inspection process.

at least last year that was true, I got my heep inspected with current insurance and expired registration. depends on where you go, some of the bigger counties are more tightly regulated, I'm in Hays country and it's pretty rural and backward...

Yep, I'm sure.

As a matter of fact, if you bring a vehicle into an emissions county from a non-emissions county you cannot register it until has passed inspection.

I wheel alot around salt water.. my entire exhaust looks to be rusted.. so i'm only guessing it's a clogged cat.. runs like crap.. and it's not in the engine bay.. so Cutting the cat off is my next step

they dont.. moving to College Station in Dec.. hoping they dont do them there as well
