Check engine light fix for LPG

I run my wife's XJ on LPG but since I converted it the check engine light is on, it goes out when I flick back to regular gas, I take it it is the exhaust sensor causing this. Is there any way of rigging this?

sorry,
It's a 95, 4.0 auto.
I suppose I could put some tape over it or pull the bulb. but if I could disable the sensor causing the problem that would be better
