I want to paint my XJ Desert Tan and was thinking about doing it the old Krylon way so it will be easy to touch up and I wont crap myself every time I scratch it off. Has anyone had this on for a few years does it get ugly?

Anything I should know before doing this?

Yes, it gets ugly. I mean, not ugly, but yes it fades. Not nearly as bad as flat black or olive green, but it still gets a noticeable chalk to it. It is also extremely hard to get a non-tiger striped finish with aerosol flat colored cans. This can be fixed somewhat by washing your car with ajax or barkeepers friend, some type of abrasive cleaner.
