automatic to manual

I just found a good deal on a 4wd xj to convert my 95 2wd, but my 2wd has a automatic transmission and the donor xj has a manual.. will i have any big issues swaping from an automatic to a manual?

What year is your donor?

If you were RENIX (1984-1990 w/AMC engine,) I'd say no trouble - since the early transmission controllers were divorced. However, ChryCo (in their admittedly finite wisdom) integrated the tranny controller with the engine controller, and the two are different. Since you have the whole vehicle, it probably won't pose much of a problem for you - but be sure. Get a 1995FSM if you can (I don't have one, or I'd help you.)

Having the entire donor vehicle will help - at least you'll have all the mechanical parts you'll need for the swap.
