Alt Moving to air cond. bracket

Has anyone moved the alt up in the air cond. area??
I am wanting to take the air cond. out and replace it with the alt.
Has anyone done it and how much am I up against.

what year do you have and do a search for alternator relocation

I have an '87 limited ,auto 3 1/2 in home lift, FIPK air kit, 30-9.50 mud tires. just a hunting jeep.
Will the alt mount in the a/c mounting bracket?

Do a search, this has been done before and there even pictures. Make sure you find the thread appropriate to your year and engine.
