standard SYE vs super short SYE

I did a search here and another site and came up with no answers.

Is there any advantage of going with one of the super short SYE kits over the standard SYE kits?

Im at about 4" lift now with stock drive shaft and having no problems.

Going to be installing a 8.8 in the future and since i will have to have D/S worked was thinking of doing a SYE at the same time.

Any pros or cons on the two other than the $50-75 price difference ?

i think the super short is mainly for wranglers since they have a shorter wheelbase so the angle wont be as bad. i wouldnt see strength wise what would be different but i dunno about that.

There is no need to go super short on an XJ. The wheel base is long enough that you don't need a shorter sye. As mentioned, the super short sye was designed for improving the d/s angle on short wheel base jeeps.

What he said, unless you are at like 7+ inches of lift no need for super short on an XJ.
