Front skid design and Dana30 guard

Hi all

It is raining this Sunday, so I spent a little time in the shop. Here is a front skid that I made out of cardboard. What do you all think of the design ? I'm not sure yet, so I'll wait before I do this in steel.



Also, I began my Dana30 diff cover guard. All the cutting is made with a handheld grinder. The angle of the top piece clears the fill plug and the tie-rod.

Making stuff on your own rocks... especially if it works. how thick is the plate you used on the diff guard? Might want to get some round bar for the parts that stick out from the bolt plate.

I like the looks of that skid, looks sweet. Clears the trac bar and all? I would like to see it in place up on the jeep.
