you'll have to use a gauge set from a 91-95....96...somewhere in there.

why do some of the gauges that are going on ebay or say that those will fit up to a 96? is it they are just dumb

they're probably just misinformed. if i remember correctly, the split in years for swapping clusters was: 84-86(possibly able to use the 87-90 cluster with a speedo cable swap?), 87-90, 91-96, and 97-01. i don't recall what the differences are, but they're not interchangeable.

I've an '89 Gauge Cluster:
is the '90 an Electronic Speedometer which
looks the same as the '89 ? - I'll need an
Electronic for a swap.
are the gauges analog > run off sensors
or electronic via the ECM ?
does the '91 look the same as the '89
only all Electronic / Digital ?
thanks in Advance ~!

The 90 and 89 clusters are identical; both use a mechanical speedometer (cable-driven). 91-96 clusters look the same, but have an electric speedometer.

I believe that all four (oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel, voltage) are run off sensors. I know that oil pressure and temp are; I just changed those sending units.
