Rocker Replacement

Well my ’99 Cherokee is sick. This winter has been very rough on her living in the salt belt. Its rockers are much more rusted then I had previously though. They need replaced and that is something beyond my ability.

My question is has anyone had the rockers on their XJ replaced by a professional body shop and if so would you mind sharing the price you had to pay. I’m also thinking about having the now faded bumper end caps and body molding painted to match.

Your best bet is to kill two birds with one stone. Replace your rockers with rectangular tubing. This gets you new rockers and they will act as rock rails at the same time. If you were to have a bodyshop do this, it would look pretty good after paint. There are a number of writeups about this in the modified forum.
