Dana 30 yoke difference

This is a follow up to a thread I posted earlier about replacing my Dana 30 yoke.

The new yoke is shorter than the old one, and I'm wondering if this is going to be a problem or not. Any suggestions? Can I knock that flange off?


Oh, I have a '99, and this is the part I ordered from PORC. I purposely ordered the u-bolt style after discussing it on the other thread, and was told it would make no difference to upgrade to it.

OK fine. I really don't care. take the dust shield off only if its in the way.
