97+ XJ seats in a 90?

Not sure if this belongs in thr mod section, but it would be a mod, just using stock parts so...

Anyway, would power front buckets from a 97+ XJ bolt into a 90 XJ with power buckets? Local yard has some for a good price but I don't know if they will fit, or if the wiring will be compatible.

They will not be a direct bolt-in. Between 94 and 95 the seat bolting changed. If you take a look at a 95+ a the front mounting area you will see what I am talking about.
It may be possible the remove the seats off the mounting brackets and swap them, but I'm not sure.

I've tried to swap the brackets so I could enjoy my 89 buckets in my 95. It will not directly swap. Maybe if you weld up some metal stock it might.

i thnk in the 2nd XJs though the ZJ seats fit
