Rustys tail light boxes

anybody running these?

i'm having trouble finding lights that fit the 4" hole. all the LEDs i find have found are advertised as 4" and fit a 4.5" hole.

Can you use a hole saw and widen to 4.5???

Once there is a hole, it is almost impossible to use a hole saw to widen anything.

A neat trick is to clamp a piece of flat stock across the hole for the center drill.

Either that or tac weld some flat bar across it then grind it off when done making the hole bigger.

with the whole any bigger the grommet for the light will overlap the edges of the box. the light needs to be a true 4"... but is there such a thing?

use flange mount lights-pep boys- light itself is 4" fits in the hole real nice, either silicone them in from the backside or mark the holes in the flange on the box, drill them out and pop-rivit them so the rivits and light show from the outside and the flange is tucked inside the box itself, looks real clean. dont forget to get some little led's or drill a 2" hole for some small marker lights or the local cops will give you crap for no rear marker lights...
