Warn Winch Wireless Remote Question

Anyone have one of these?

It came with one of these in the mounting hardware kit:

But no explanation in the installation manual why. Here's the manual:

Well the blue thing you posted is used to splice wire, like make one wire into two...I don't feel like finding out why you have it though, good luck. However, I do assume it is so you can add the reciever for the remote to the original remote cables. :)

Well, yeah, I know it's a splice connector, but I can't seam to figure out why they gave me one. There is a connector on the winch, and the wireless receiver plugs into that connector (normally the cabled remote goes into it). And then there's a wireless remote now. And that's it. It's basically plug and play with no splicing of any wires. There's only one connector on the receiver, and it's for the one that plugs into the winch.
 
its so that you can take the remote apart and make it into a wired wireless remote:gee:
