well you know people say the d35c is so bad and weak and i should look into getting a chrysler 8.25, but what do these come out of? what year cherokees?

The good ones came out of the 97+. These are 29 spline. The pre 97 are 27 spline. They are a little stronger than the 35, but not enough to swap one out. JIM.

yes sir you can.
what year is it out of? that will tell you the spline for the locker you want (either spider replacement, or full carrier replacement)
their is no carrier break in the 8.25 so no need to get a bigger carrier.
however, up front youll need the 4.10s and a new 3.73 and up carrier
