That's the idler pulley. There seem to be minor differences in them over the years but I believe they all interchange. I used the one off my 87 on my 95 & it worked fine.
Broke as is destroyed, or just the bearing gave up? The whole idler pulley itself is relatively inexpensive at the local auto store. If its just the bearing, it's a very common cheap bearing if you don't mind pressing a new one in.
