post dizzy install problems

So I put in a new dizzy today and afterwards I noticed a few problems. There is a hissing noise coming from the distributor and it is idling really rough. When I give it gas it responds well but I can smell unburned fuel in the exhaust. Ideas? Suggestions? Questions?

adjust the distrubitor and make sure plug wires are goin to the right plug

make sure the cap is tight down on top of the two screw mounts. They have a habit of catching a little bit. Then check the wiring. You may have the rotor hitting the cap in 1 or more places.
