What is This Hose and Where Does it Go

1993 XJ Country 4.0L Automatic 2WD 153,000 Miles. Can someone tell me what this hose is and where does it go? It comes from (facing the front of the engine) the right side of the engine around the back, mount on the firewall, and then just sits right here.

That is a line going to your charcoal canister (that big thing right below it that has multiple hoses connected to it). The line should run from your gas tank to there. Be careful when you touch it, your hands will turn black as night.

x2 on the charcoal canister, mine has been unplugged for a long time now, could not find a open port on the canister to plug it into, it does not have vacumn on it so i left it alone

X3 on the charc can
