Gauges go out

On my 98XJ the gauges will all die untill I hit the top of the dash, then thay come back on. I heard there was a service bulletin or recall for this problem. My XJ has done it for a while and I really dont mind but Im working on a 98TJ that is doing the same thing and needs to be fixed. Any help? Thanks.

Do a quick search....very common amongst the 97+ XJ's and TJ's....i believe it requires repairing a pin in the back of the dash that wears out over time if i'm not mistaken....but i know its definately been covered several times.
