I don't see how that would work, other than restricting airflow. The guys who run high horsepower engines drag racing, don't use them. The factory cars that get 30+mpg don't use them either.

Now if I could see real dyno result on HP gain, and testing to prove it gave you better MPG, Id believe it may work. Just my .02

But for $13 bucks, buy it, and let us know how well it works.
