timken bearing issues

OK, so I know that Timken vs non Timken bearings will differ in size BUT what's up with the Timken bearings not being the same size? This is the first time ever I came across a pair that is so big I can't even get the damn carrier back into the housing. WTF? I removed shims (ok thin ones but still) on both sides and I still can't get the damn thing to fit in. Anyone ever encounter that before?

This pisses me off in so many ways.... the size difference on the bearings just defeats the purpose of setup bearings....

Sounds like a D44,they used 2 different sizes of carriers and bearings!

Try a d30. Oh yeah.. and the part numbers on the bearings... MATCH
