another a/c question...

a/c was working perfectly.....ran the 'swamp lake trail' on the way home turned on the a/c......no air in the front vents...only in the windshield ducts..... what can i look into .. [same thing happened to a wrangler i sold..ouch..it was expensive to fix.] hoping the xj is a simple fix!! '91 w/auto trans and a 4.0 H.O..

You have a vacuum leak that is preventing the heater system servos (which are vacuum operated) from moving the heater plenum doors to the dashboard vent postion.

You say you went wheeling. I would bet you damaged the vacuum reservior in your front bumper. It's a sausage shaped plastic tank located inside the bumper channel, and has one vacuum hose connected to it.
