Can you swap a pre 97 door to a 97+?????

I just had a Brain storm... I'll go to the yard and try it before I buy. THey have both at the one EZ pull... hahahah I'm a genious.
Anyhow, I just like the Idea of haveing the front corner windows. you can direct the airflow.

Please let us know what you find out. I loved vent window on the pre-'97 doors and regret selling my '89.
I can't imagine why you would do such a mod lol. I hate the vent window as it makes seeing the mirror almost impossible for me. I like the large window opening of the 97. JMO.
I am sure it can be done easily, plenty of people doing the swap to older rigs.

You can bolt an earlier door complete with hinge onto a 97+. Straight swap. But...the strikers are different. That's not a big deal though.
I did it the other way. 97+ door on a 96 XJ. And I'll be putting 97+ doors on my 92 MJ soon.
