do front tj springs work for the xj's? I can't seem to find anything on this.

IIRC they do but they actually give less lift. If you want more lift go with coils from a V8 grand cherokee. Search for a junkyard thread. It had a lot of things that were compatible with a Cherokee.

ok, I'm also pretty curious about the right spring rate. the reason the tj coils lift less is because of a lower spring weight? what's the norm for spring rate? I see alot of manufactures recommend between 150-180lbs depending on vehicle weight. I'm shying away from the grand cherokee springs because of the stiff ride, whereas a 6"Tj coil would net me maybe around 5" of lift but a soft soft ride, right?
